Two-thirds of our planet's surface is covered with water.
The
problem is that 97% of the world's water is salt water in the oceans,
and only 3% is fresh water.

this tiny fraction, only one-third of 1% is usable by humans-
the rest is locked in polar icecaps, or is deep underground. Fresh
water is our most valuable and precious resource.
