• Long Life: In the early days steel tanks were just plain galvanised steel and after many years could begin to rust from the inside. This is especially noticeable in the slimline format where polyethylene tanks typically are much larger for the same capacity due to moulded cross strengthen taking away from storage capacity. The same applies for the round metal tanks where the flatter roof structure means more water right to the top of the tank compared to the unused air gap in the domed roofed poly tanks.
