March 29, 2011. In an Open Letter to the ACT Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water, Enviro Friendly has called a proposed change to ACT Solar Feed-In Tariff, "unfair, and unreasonable." World Launches Enviro
Friendly World News site in the USA. The site will provide a
constantly updated free news service on environment and energy matters.
September 11, 2011. Enviro Friendly
were ACT Sponsors for Sustainable
House Day, and annual event promoted by the Australian Solar
Energy Society. Thirteen homes, good examples of sustainable design
and products, in Canberra and the local Region.
September 8, 2011. Enviro Friendly sponsored a Public
Forum on Sustainability vs.Affordability. Convened by the ACT
Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects was addressed
by four Speakers, including Enviro Friendly Director, John Payne,
and was an ancillary event to Sustainable House Day.
July 15, 2011. Enviro Friendly
Director John Payne was interviewed on radio station 2CC, discussing
the sudden closing of the ACT Solar Feed In Tariff, and the 1:1
Scheme that takes it's place.
June 30, 2011. Enviro Friendly Director David Payne
has led negotiations on behalf of a group of Canberra-based solar retailers with
the ACT Government, The Greens and the Liberals. The result has been to allow
Canberra home owners access to the balance of the ACT Feed In Tariff cap, on the
same basis as commercial businesses. Both will be able to access a Feed In
Tariff of 30.06c.
