NSW
State Government Solar Hot Water Rebate Effective January 15th. 2010
Water heating is the biggest energy user in most NSW homes. By switching
from an electric to a climate-friendly solar hot water system, you
could save up to three tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year
and dramatically cut your energy bills.
The following
rebates are available to switch from an electric hot water system:
- $300 for
a gas hot water system with a 5-star or higher energy rating
- $300
for a solar or heat pump hot water system.
Warning: This rebate finishes on June 30, 2011. You only have until next year to be able to claim the rebate- if the NSW Government doesn't change the program again. We suggest that you act NOW!
