Mischa Barton attended the 5th Annual Candies Foundation "Event To Prevent" Benefit, held at Cipriani in New York City on May 7th. The "Event to Prevent" Benefit is held to raise awareness of the consequences of teen pregnancy.
A whole series of posters and video advertisements feature stars such as Hilary Duff, Ciara and Jenny McCarthy (shown after the jump) as part of this public health campaign to combat teen pregnancy. It’s great that Mischa is supporting the cause.

While Mischa Barton was on vacation in Australia, there were a couple of incidents where she was sunbathing without her top. Unfortunately, a very very aggressive paparazzi was stalking her. And he got some very unflattering images of her topless and showing cellulite on her thighs and whatnot (probably made worse from towel marks).
Anyway, it erupted into a big "thing", as it should. The photos appeared on magazines and were published over and over again.
The photographer, Jamie Fawcett, has been accused of harassing Mischa Barton. Fawcett went to Hamilton Island and is claimed to have take photos inside her private hotel room. He says she was in broad public view, but a zoom lens can get you off on not technically trespassing. Jamie Fawcett claims that he "had to" take the photographs.
Mischa Barton confronted Jamie Fawcett at the Hamilton Island airport, where they were booked on the same flight. She got very mad at him, asking "how [he] could do this to [her]"
"He’s a ridiculous human being … I’ve never abhorred anyone more,"
So, was Mischa Barton in a private space, or a public space? Should she have erred on the safe side and left her top on?

Mischa Barton attended the opening night of Boeing Boeing at the Longacre Theatre in New York on May 4th. Mischa went to the play with her mom. Boeing Boeing is a French comedy, an "innocent" sex comedy, is getting some great reviews for its non-conventional approach the theater.

Mischa Barton had a call-in interview with Kyle and Jackie O of safm in Australia. Mischa talks about her little weekend vacation to Hamilton Island (jet skiing!) and about her new handbags with Smacky Glam. Mischa also talks about her upcoming movies, the next out being Assassination of a High School President.

Mischa Barton spoke with The Daily Telegraph about her fashion tastes, and her line of purses in Japan, and about her preferences for Australian Designers. It also looks like Mischa posed for a small photoshoot for them.
