Queensland Water
Rebates:
From
January 1st. 2008, the Queensland Government is offering cash rebates
to help households save water and money.
From
January 2008 you can get the following cash rebates through the
Home and Garden WaterWise Rebate Scheme:
- $1500
for rainwater tank installation. Minimum sze 3000 litres
for units, 5000 litres for homes. Must be connected to (at least)
toilet and laundry, and swimming pool (if there is a pool). Enviro
Friendly can supply you with a
wide range of eligible water tanks, and the Onga
WaterSwitch pump and controller mains-backup system to supply
your home.
- $500
for greywater recycling systems
(where approved by the relevant local government authority) including
installation. Enviro Friendly can
supply you with a range of grey
water systems approved for installation in Queensland.
- 50%
of purchase cost, up to $30, for 3-star rated or better water-efficient
showerheads. Enviro Friendly supply the
brilliant Queensland-made eco-Shower
showerheads- for big water savings AND a great shower.
- $150
for dual-flush toilets 6/3 or better, maximum 2 toilets
(including installation)
- $200
for 4-star water rated (or better) water efficient washing machines
- $125
for Residential retrofit program (to
be clarified)
