Solahart Segment on Kerr-Anne: Solar Hot Water Options Explained

Solahart produces a wide range of models

Today, customers can choose from 3 styles of Solahart solar hot water systems...

Solahart thermosiphon solar hot water system.Thermosiphon. This is the 'traditional' style solar hot water system. The sun's heat is absorbed by the dark panels, and water or a transfer liquid carries the heat upwards to the storage tank.

With this system design, no pumps are required. The design is as simple as it can be.

Solahart split system solar hot water.Split system. Many customers do not prefer the aesthetics of a large tank visible on their roof.

Many roofs are not designed for, or are simply unable to take the weight of a thermosiphon system, which can weigh upwards of 500kg.

The split system puts compact. less-obtrusive panels on the roof, and locates the storage tank on the ground.

Solahart's heat pump hot water unit.Heat Pump. There are many circumstances where an on-the-roof solar hot water system is not ideal.

  • the roof does not face north

  • shading is a problem

  • the customer would prefer nothing on the roof

  • heritage regulations prevent placing a system on a roof

In these circumstances, a heat pump solar hot water system is the answer. It is usually placed on the ground, and can be located in any convenient location- shade is not an issue.

Reduce your carbon footprint, and reduce your energy bills

We all know that energy consumption has a huge and serious effect on the environment. The energy we use every day emits harmful greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change.

Water heating is one of the biggest contributors to household greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for around 25% of the average homes carbon footprint.

With a Solahart solar hot water heater which uses the sun’s natural energy you could save up to 50-90%* of your water heating energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2 - 3.6 tonnes every year, which is the equivalent of taking a 4 cylinder car off the road.

With hot water free from the sun, you’ll reduce your impact on climate change and make a positive step for future generations.
